How is misinformation in another language addressed?

In brief

Assess a correction in another language using the original wording, qualified language judgment, and local context. Distinguish factual errors, customary terminology and interpretations through that assessment before preparing the correction.

The assessment checks names, transliterations, legal entities, dates, product availability, and the precise disputed assertion. It also compares regional and global company assets. A translation can retain an obsolete role after the primary page changes, or a local name can be confused with a separate business.

Corrective work should reach the sources actually used by that audience. A supported publisher request, clearer local-language asset, or corrected profile can address the identified gap. The business facts must remain compatible across versions without forcing identical wording. Retesting in the relevant language shows whether the misunderstanding persists; an accurate English search result does not settle that question.
