Should a brand prioritize visibility on one AI platform or across several?
In brief
Prioritize the AI experiences important audiences use and the decisions those experiences affect. One platform provides a starting point. Test the other relevant experiences directly to establish how each represents the brand.
A useful baseline separates known-brand research, category discovery, comparisons, and sensitive questions. Audience evidence, observed errors, commercial relevance, and available resources determine where deeper coverage is justified. Testing every available model with equal effort can consume resources without improving decisions; testing only the most familiar model can leave serious exposure unseen.
Expand coverage when findings justify it. Address a damaging claim on the affected platform even when the others describe the brand accurately. Apply shared source corrections across relevant experiences, and handle product-specific issues in their recorded research context. Revisit priorities after major business changes, new audience evidence, or persistent unexplained differences. Record the reason for including or excluding each platform and the conditions tested.
