Which company facts should a website make unambiguous?

In brief

A company website should make the business’s identity, current offer, operating scope, and responsible people clear. Important claims need a route to relevant proof.

The factual foundation includes the current business name, legal or trading relationships where relevant, products or services available, markets served, and contact or support responsibility. Product brands and subsidiaries should not appear to be unrelated businesses, or imply capabilities they do not share.

Descriptions need enough detail to distinguish the organization from alternatives and namesakes. A reader should be able to understand what the company does without translating internal terminology or relying on an unexplained category label. Specific examples substantiate important capabilities.

Keep current capabilities separate from planned developments and historical work. Dates and status matter when the business changes. The review then tests whether the website’s account answers the identity and capability questions that recur in search, profiles, and AI descriptions, rather than only making sense to people who already know the company.
