How does reputation work connect with a brand’s existing search team?

In brief

Search and reputation work connect where the same pages, queries, and source problems affect different objectives. Joint diagnosis avoids fixing visibility while leaving the decisive misunderstanding intact.

On a shared page, use search analysis to examine crawling, relevance and visits, and reputation analysis to examine identity, encountered claims and their evidence. Coordinate these checks while retaining a clear definition for each metric.

Existing search teams can explain migrations, technical constraints, content history, and query behavior. This prevents an implementation issue being mistaken for a narrative problem and reveals useful work already completed.

Changes should retain the page’s purpose and relevant routes. An accessible page with weak evidence needs substantive editing; a strong explanation blocked from indexing needs technical repair. The cause determines the work rather than the department leading it.
