How should a brand address conflicting descriptions from senior leaders?

In brief

Conflicting executive descriptions need correction when they imply incompatible company facts. Different perspectives are legitimate when responsibilities, capabilities, and direction remain consistent.

Separate emphasis from contradiction. Compare descriptions of established strengths and expansion with the current offer, ownership, decision authority and commitments. Resolve substantive conflicts through approved operating facts, announcements and formal disclosures.

Give distinct spokespeople a shared factual reference. Correct misleading statements with dated clarifications and update related records. Investigate the maintenance gap behind the mismatch, including changes that failed to reach older biographies, and assign responsibility for future updates.
