Why do different review platforms present conflicting pictures of the same brand?

In brief

Review platforms can describe different populations, products, locations, and periods. Compare those sources before treating different ratings as contradictory findings about the whole business.

Record what experience each platform covers, the visible sample size, recency, and any known invitation or moderation context. A workplace-review site and a product-review site measure different subjects even when they display the same brand name.

Examine the substance of each platform's accounts before combining averages. Investigate themes by function and date to distinguish a current operating weakness from an old issue. Compare the underlying experiences across platforms.

Search or AI can turn a narrow source into a company-wide description. The response is to clarify scope and improve relevant evidence, rather than assert that one preferred platform supplies the uniquely true rating.
